ANDRé FERNANDES
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
André Fernandes has more than 20 years experience behind the camera in film and video. He has shot around the world on feature films, commercials, music videos, television series, documentaries and short films, and has worked for every major Canadian broadcaster and many US studios.
As Director of Photography, André “paints with light” to effect the precise mood, atmosphere and beauty for each situation. He has an eye for detail and always captures the best of both talent and location.
André specializes in Steadicam work and is a fully equipped Steadicam owner/operator. He is well acquainted with various 35mm and 16mm film cameras, and high-definition cameras.
André studied broadcasting in Vancouver, BC and cinematography in Rockport, Maine. He is based in Vancouver.
